#MotivationalMonday – Change

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend and I wish you all a great week ahead of you. Today’s thought comes from looking at where other people are in life compared to where I am now. I look back and think about how tight knit I was with so many high school friends, reminiscing of times I had with them on sports teams and all. I graduated over 6 years ago and I always ponder on the changes that have occurred since then. What’s happened to people? Where is life taking them? What can I do to be a more positive influence on them?

Let me share some feelings and thoughts that have found a place deep within the core of my soul…and I hope you can all take to heart what I am about to share.

There isn’t a day that goes by where change does not occur. Change happens literally every second of the day. There’s fluctuations in temperature around the world, there’s change in the way your body is developing, there’s change in your thought processes. Change can occur because of choices we make or we can just be average and watch the world around us change. There isn’t at any point a moment where we are stationary, sitting perfectly still…we are either progressing forward or falling backwards. Think about this phenomenal concept for a minute. What are you doing with your life right now? Are you letting the world around you change while you roll backwards or are you making the necessary changes that will allow you to progress forward in life? If you don’t like the situation you’re in, change the surroundings you are in, maybe even change the people you associate yourself with. It takes some sort of effort to be different than the rest of the world around you. This is where you learn to find your inner strength and motivation to change. What is it going to take for you to reach your true potential by taking your life to the next level? Take a minute to write down a goal or two that will allow for you to grow in ways you never thought possible.

Do you ever think for one minute that I decided to just be average? You’re right…I did. When I put myself in a poor health state, being overweight, almost in the obese BMI category, I didn’t care to change. I was comfortable living a lifestyle ingesting unhealthy beverages, fast food, and even harmful/addictive substances.  It takes a lot more effort than just simply to think about changing. You must act on that thought which will be the vehicle to reach positive checkpoints in your life. You have to know deep down what your priorities really are. Don’t let people negatively influence you to make average choices. Surround yourself with people who have similar interests and motives so you can support each other. Make a commitment today you will improve just one aspect of your life. Your health is important to me but also your loved ones who surround you. Help yourself and in turn you will be able to help them better appreciate their health. As a lasting thought, remember this quote below. I wish you all a wonderful week! I’ll keep you posted with future Quest adventures in the coming weeks! Thanks for your support.
